Skirting a mountain,
Hiking paddy field roads,
I used to visit an old well alone,
and would often stare down into it.
Inside the well,
the moon is bright, a cloud passes,
the sky opens, and blue wind blows.
And autumn is there.
And a man is there.
Somehow I feel hatred toward him,
and walk back home.
While walking back home, I think of him
and then I feel pity for him.
I return there and look into it
to find him still there.
Again, I feel hatred toward him,
and walk back home.
